Consistently named one of the top state parks in Wisconsin, this park's high bluffs surrounding a sparkling lake will not disappoint. Two sandy beaches and opportunities for paddling and fishing make this an ideal summer destination. Even better, you can purchase a beer at the concession stand near the beach after a long day of outdoor adventures. Stop by as a part of a trip to the Wisconsin Dells or stay in the park at one of three large campsites.
Although the park can be crowded, especially on summer weekends, you can escape most of the tourists by hiking a mile or two. Hike to the top of one or both of the bluffs for a challenge ending with impressive views.The Ice Age National Scenic Trail traverses the park, giving you an opportunity to day hike a portion of this famous Wisconsin trail. Other trails travel deeper into the forest, allowing you to explore the interesting glacial topography.
