Rating: ★★★★☆(4/5) - Worth a Trip
Also referred to as Minnesota Point, this long, narrow sand spit is home to wonderful beaches on Lake Superior. Surprisingly, the sandy soil also hosts tall red and white pines in the state designated scientific and natural area close to the end of the point. One hiking trail stretches to the end of the point, filled with pretty nature, ruined buildings, and views of Duluth from afar.
