Theodore Wirth Park, Minnesota

Park Information

Essentially the Central Park of Minneapolis, this large urban park offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. The park is easily accessible by bike via the city's expansive trail network and also hosts the city's only mountain bike trails. Other activities available here range from archery to golf. There are no camping facilities.

Most of the hiking trails start near Quaking Bog, including a short boardwalk through the bog itself. Other trails exist near Wirth Lake and the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden. At the time of writing, there isn't a decent map of trails for the entire park, so navigating the longer trails will be an adventure.
